Sling training

Sling training is becoming increasingly popular, not only among sports trainers, but physiotherapists are also increasingly interested in sling products. A sling trainer can be attached to the ceiling or a wall construction, but also to a specially designed sling table. Sling training is used to strengthen the muscles in the body to develop a correct and stable posture. The training teaches patients to control his or her muscles. Here, the patient’s body weight functions as the weight that is being trained with.

What is sling therapy?

In sling therapy, the entire body or various parts of the patient's body are suspended from a sling table with the aid of various slings. PhysioSupplies offers, for example, a sling for the torso, foot, leg and arms. Slings are available separately, but also as a set.

When the entire body is freely suspended above the ground, an unstable, swaying situation arises in which the body must try to remain in balance. The muscles in the body need to work closely with the central nervous system. Muscles in the back, abdomen and buttocks are put to work in this way.

Using sling tables and training

A sling table can be used for different purposes. Sling therapy is suitable for patients with back problems or a lumbar hernia. PhysioSupplies features the Karlsruhe Sling Table in its range. The frame of the sling table is made of robust material, providing unlimited durability. The frame at the top has been designed in such a way that the sling table has no less than 168 hanging possibilities.
