Percussion Therapy

Percussion therapy is the solution for immediate pain relief, muscle recovery and stress reduction. Various muscle groups in the body can be treated using percussion therapy: a massage ensures that the muscles in the body are activated and that pain is reduced. Percussion therapy is also fast and effective.

A treatment using percussion therapy has several advantages. Firstly, knots and spasms are ironed out, relieving a sense of tightness. Secondly, a massage accelerates the recovery and activation of muscles. And thirdly, the application of percussion therapy is a natural way of providing pain relief.

In a nutshell, percussion therapy offers the following:

  • Daily recovery
  • Stress reduction
  • Natural pain relief

Percussion Therapy with TheraGun

TheraGun offers the following five devices that can be used to perform percussion therapy: the TheraGun Elite, TheraGun Pro, TheraGun Liv, as well as TheraGun Prime and TheraGun Mini. A TheraGun either comes with several attachments or they can be purchased separately. For example, the dampener can be used for tender areas and for places close to the bone. The standard ball is suitable for general use. The thumb makes it possible to treat the lower back and trigger points, and the cone is ideal for accurate muscle treatment.

The TheraGun Elite and TheraGun Pro, for instance, have two adjustable speed settings. One being forty revolutions per second, other being thirty revolutions per second. The lower speed of thirty revolutions per second is suitable for more sensitive areas of the body. Hereby, one of the main differences between the TheraGun Elite and the TheraGun Pro is the maximum stall force that can be delivered. The Pro provides a stall force of up to 18.1 kg while the Pro has a maximum stall force of 27.2 kg.
