The Reflex hammer Berliner 19 cm is used to release muscle-stretch-reflexes as for example the Achilles tendon reflex or Patella reflex, in relation to neurological investigations.
The intensity of the reflex is used to measure either central or peripheral nerve damages, with results in hyperreflexia or an increase of reflexes, but also to measure results like hyperflexia or decreased reflexes.
