New to the Sharpsafe series is the Sharpsafe 1.8L. The Sharpsafe 1.8L is the newest product in the Sharpsafe series and is specially designed for disposing of insulin pens and pen needles safely. The Sharpsafe 1.8L can be used in a medical environment, but also for home use.
The Sharpsafe 1.8L has two openings. One opening is for disposing of acute medical equipment and the other is for disposing of needles. For people who have to throw away pens and needles at home, the Sharpsafe 1.8L is ideal. At home, in most cases, we only have large or small trash cans that do not allow pens to be placed vertically.
The content of the Sharpsafe is 1.8 liters. This corresponds to a capacity of twenty needles with a diameter of 17 millimeters. The lid is semi-transparent and this allows you to see when the Sharpsafe 1.8L is full. This way there is no risk of putting too many pens in the Sharpsafe.
